The Black Doulas of Columbia is looking for passionate doulas looking to serve and support families in the Columbia and surrounding areas. If you would like to apply submit these following documents to info@blackdoulasofcolumbia.org with the subject line “BDOC Doula Application” by July 5, 2026.

• Cover Letter - Include your response to these questions. Why did you become a doula? Why do you want to join this Collective? What are your solutions to combat the Infant and Maternal Crisis?

• Current Resume - Include relevant work experience, doula experience, certifications, and trainings.

• Two Professional References

  • One Community Reference - A colleague, mentor, supervisor, or community partner who can speak to your professionalism, reliability, and commitment to the community.

  • One Client Reference - A former or current client who can speak to the quality of your services and support.

• Training Certificates and Supporting Documents - Copies of certificates from doula training and any related trainings

Please note:

• Submission of an application does not guarantee membership.

• Selected applicants will be invited to participate in an interview.

• Final membership decisions are made by the BDOC Board of Directors.
